Two posts in one day! WOW
This is a special Thankyou to Sheldon from Putt n' Bounce of Saskatoon! Me and my guys visited there today and played a round of mini golf. And if you havent been there yet, what are you waiting for. It is spectacular! A challenging course, yet easy enough for the younger members of your family! But what amazed me most was the landscaping and visual eye candy that was around every corner. I felt like I was in the middle of wonderland! So of course I took my camera along and you know us SB's, well I took a ton of photos, you couldn't resist the beauty!
So watch for some great LO's to come out of this!!!!!
Just when you think it can't get any better!!! Well it did! Last night at the Scrapbookers Club House their next DT team was announced. My buddy LYNN is now one of their newest DT's. WTG LYNN and I was also chosen to be their GUEST DESIGNER FOR AUGUST. I had such a good time there last night watching Lynn's reaction. OH how I prayed for her. She works really hard on the boards and is a wonderful person. And so it finally happened for her. YAHOOEY!

I also submitted a "Green" Scrappy Article that is going to be published at SBCH! That makes me soo excited. I want to do more articles and writing so this is a great start. I have a ton of articles ready to be written!

But in all of this excitement, a couple of my on-line buddies have been struggling with some personal issues. I've been working hard at sending it out to everyone to say a prayer for their well-being. Its easy to forget those around you when you're flying high. But until they are well again, they will surely have my prayers and my attention.

I went out with the family last night for supper. My SIL is heading to teach in Bolivia! We won't be seeing them for along time. I took some great photos over the weekend and had them dev'l and enlarged as a gift to her. She was so excited to receive them. That made my day yesterday, because you can't send stuff with her (weight restrictions) so what do you give as a token of your love. I was very proud of those photos. So much so that I really feel ready to up the anti and take a photography class soon.

In two days I will be celebrating my 10 year anniversary. YES you heard that right!!!! I am amazed by how quickly this time has gone by. Its gone by soooo fast I havent even figured out an anniversary present for my DH! What oh what am I going to do???????? I will let you know if I ever figure this one out! I'll be back later to post some LO's and cards, but now I need to go and spend some time with my guys..........THEY HAVE BEEN SB WIDOWS FOR TWO DAYS!!

An Amazing DAY!

Well, I guess I'm just gonna have to say something about what I've just been going through for the past 4 hours. I can't believe that the moment I've been waiting for has finally come!! Yes thats right ladies I finally figured out how to program my VCR! LOL

OK seriously, I've been chosen as a CARD DT at 4 Scrappy Sisters! Can you believe that???

I just have to say though, that now that the moment is finally here. I've realized its not about the "win" its not about the "title". Its all about the discount at the store. LOL

OK seriously, What I have learned in the past year about SB forums is that the friendships you gain, FAR out weigh any TOOTS that one might get. Without your friends, what do you have???
I know I'm in this for the RIGHT reasons now. And I truely feel that until you are ready to be part of the bigger picture your chances slim down quite a bit! I know many of you personally who are waiting for "YOUR" moment right now and because of your "spirit" and "friendship" it won't be that much longer and your "moment" will be here as well.

I do want to say thankyou to all my on-line friends - I guess there's NO excuse for you not getting a xmas card this year. LOL
and
I want to say THANK YOU TO MY BLOG SUPPORTERS! You've hung in there with me when I've been so busy creating and not posting. But I'm ready to unleash some of my best work and ideas now. You know we have to hold some of this back, and its been killing me not being able to post this stuff.
and
To all my SB buddies locally! April, Sheryl, Just Scrap it, Heidi, Vicki and Amanda! Thanks for your love and prayers, I know you guys have been rootin for me and that means more to me than anything!!!

What a weekend!

I had my big garage sale on Saturday! And let me tell you that I met some of the sweetest people in the whole world. YES! the whole world.

So I want to say hello to ALEX & JUDY, meeting you two was the highlight of my day! I felt an instant connection with you and I just know we are going to meet again and again. Thank-you for all of the lovely ribbon. And the Himalayan Impatients are strong and love their new home!

I'd also like to extend as special thank-you to Jim & Kathie from Michigan for sharing with me their amazing craftmenship and jewels. Yes, I had a garage sale to get rid of stuff, but instead I gained 4 new friends, some jewels, a forest of beautiful plants and enough ribbon to tie bows around the globe! I'll say it again and again, when you extend the hand of friendship the hand of friendship is extened to you wider than you could ever imagine. Thanks for making my day so memorable!

Well I've been seriously busy getting out some entries for DT calls. So the past two weeks have been non-stop SB. But now thats done with for the moment, I can catch up on a ton of other things. I'm having a huge garage sale right away. And I'm gearing up to take a small vacation next week. I don't think I'll be going to far. But just a nice short break away with my guys.

I've joined a book club with my pals at 4SS, I'm into "the Shack" right at the moment. I will post a review in a day or two about that.

I know I'm lazy when it comes to posting here, but right now keeping up with the forums and creating are preventing me from being here. I know that now that things are settling down, I should be able to get back here more often. Thanks for droppin by and taking a looksy! I really have to go and visit some other peoples blogs and post some luv! Hugs LEE

I've been in an all week crop at Scrapbookers club house and here is the proof.

ARE YOU AN ARTIST OR A SCRAPBOOKER????

This question has been coming up here and there, so I thought I would explain my thoughts on this one.
For me it is easier to say I'm an artist rather than a crocheter, gardener, scrapbooker, seamstress blah blah blah!
I've always been really crafty, but there's this big hole in my gut that yearns to be with the local artists. I don't paint or sketch or do pottery, I'm not a performer and I don't write for other people! But I feel sometimes if you don't fit into one of those genra's people don't take you seriously.

I just read that the SB industry beat out golf for sales in North America, thats serious stuff!

My true thought on this is: If you "create" anything at all and it pleases you then its ART, so you must be an artist.

My dictionary defines artist as: One who makes his craft a fine art, devotte!

Its time ladies to redefine the term for all Scrapbookers, WE ARE ALL ARTISTS!
THIS IS A FINE ART! ONE REAL FINE FANTASTIC ART!

So if you've been wondering where I've been well all I can say is BUSY! Besides my job, I've been getting ready to submit my work to my two favortite places. Both have DT calls out right now and I urge all of you to go and take a look. Throw your hat into the ring. Even if you don't enter, go take a look and see whats got my attention on a regular basis. These forums are fun, full of challenges each week and the members are some of the friendliest people I've ever met.

DON'T MISS YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO BE PART OF ONE OF THESE GREAT TEAMS!
