Card Tutorial

Instructions

1. Cut a piece of patterned paper 5 1/2" X 3 1/2".
2. Lightly tac down the patterned paper to the card face and punch a circle in the bottom right hand corner of the card and patterned paper at the same time.

3. Remove patterned paper and attach a ribbon to the left edge of the patterned paper.
4. Attach patterned paper to your card.
5. Cut a circle from circle patterned paper and punch a hole directly in the middle of the circle. Attach the cut out circle to the punched our circle on the card.

6. Cut a Santa circle and mount on cardstock circle. Place behind the cut out circle card front.

7. Add flowers.
8. Add a word rub-on to white cardstock, ink edges and mount to a coordinating piece of cardstock. Attach to card front.

9. Attach matted patterned papers to card front.

Pump it UP!
1. Add glossy accents to the Santa circle.

Card Tutorial

Instructions
1. Fold and 8 1/2" X 11' piece of cardstock in half.
2. Using a circle template (or cutting system) cut a circle about 5" in diameter, DO NOT CUT THE TOP FOLD OF YOUR CARD.

3. Cut another circle out of cardstock 1/4' smaller than the card you made in step 2.

4. Cut another circle from patterned paper 1/4" smaller than the circle you cut in step 3.

5. Cut the top edge of both the patterned paper and cardstock so that they will both have about a 1/4' edge.

6. Sew patterned paper and cardstock together if desired.
7. Attach ribbon the the left edge of your patterned paper mat.
8. Attach flowers to ribbon.
9. Make leaves for your flower by tracing a leaf image onto patterned paper. Cut out.

10. Emboss the leaf and ink edges. Attach behind flower.

11. Attach a rub-on to a piece of patterned paper.
12. Cut around word saying rub-on.

13. Mount the word saying onto cardstock and cut out again.

Attach word saying to card front, bottom edge. Apply bling (not included).
14. Attach matted circle to card front.

Card Tutorial

We've decided to post a card tutorial early for all you who are ready to get started.

This card is for all of you who are on a budget and really need to use up some scraps. A fun and quick card to make. But the best part about this card is you won't feel badly when the receiver throws it in the garbage after the holidays. LOL

Supplies:
one brad, ribbon, card stock, holiday stamp, embossing powder, holly leaves, scissors and adhesive.

NOTE: colors of cardstock will change according to "your desired" patterned paper flower.

Instructions:
1. Cut white cardstock 3 3/4" X 5".
2. Emboss white cardstock with your favorite embossing folder.

3. Add ribbon to the left hand side of the white cardstock.

4. Cut Red cardstock 4 X 5 1/4".
5. Mount the white cardstock to the red cardstock.
6. Cut a standard size card and mount the red/white cardstock to your card. Set aside.

7. Emboss your favorite holiday greeting to a white piece of paper. (sized according to your stamp). and mount on a red piece of cardstock thats 1/4' larger than the white embossed piece, curl the edges in the top right hand corner. Ink edges if desired.

8. Cut 6 strips of patterned holiday paper 3/4"X 3'. Cut the ends only of each piece, leaving a center to punch a hole. They should look like this.

9. Curl the edges of each flower piece by using a pencil. You could ink or emboss or glue on glitter before you curl for added appeal.

10. Attach these pieces with a brad and attach the flower to your card in the right hand corner and fluff up the petals of the flower. Add your leaves. Trim if necessary.


11. Attach your embossed greeting slightly on an angle behind your flower.

Instructions:

1. Cut a piece of cardstock that measures 5 2/8" X 3 5/8".
2. Cut a piece of patterned paper that measures 3 3/8" x 5". Distress the edges of the patterned paper.
3. Punch a border strip with curvy punch appox. 1 inch wide.

4. Attach the patterned paper to the cardstock and then the border to the middle of the mat you just made.
5. Attach ribbon to the top edge of the curved border and adhere your card front to the face of your card.
6. Cut out a Santa image and mount it to a "circle" cut out of coordinating cardstock.
7. Cut a circle from the patterned paper supplied. Mount the circle image in step 6 to a patterned paper circle. And attach to your card. Embellish.

8. Apply rub-on word sayings.

Pump it up!

1. Mount the patterned paper circle to chipboard.

2. Glossy accent the santa image.
3. Sew a border of thread along bottom of card.

Instructions:

1. Cut a piece of patterned paper the full size of the card face.
5 1/2" X 3 1/2".
2. Attach a ribbon across the lower part of the patterned paper you cut in step 1.
3. Attach patterned paper to card front.
4. Ink edge of card border.
5. Double mat one of the oblong holiday images and place on an angle on the card.
6. Attach a tree diecut image or image to suit.

Pump it up!

1. Glue coordinating cardstock to a chipboard buckle (not included in kit), sand and ink edges of buckle. Insert ribbon and attach to card.
2. Mount tree image to chipboard, Apply glossy accents and ribbon to the tree, mount on coordinating cardstock.
3. Add a word saying.

Christmas Card Tutorial

Instructions
1. Cut a piece of patterned paper 5 1/2" X 3 1/2".
2. Cut another piece of patterned paper 3" X 5".
3. Mount the patterned pieces together. Sew edges if desired.

4. Cut a piece of coordination cardstock 1' wide and cut a scallop edge out of this cardstock border.
5. Attach the border to the center of your card. Attach ribbon to the top edge of the scalloped edge.

6. Attach matted papers to your card front.
7. Mount an oblong holiday image to a piece of cardstock and attach to the right hand side of your card.
8. Add rub-on word sayings and embellishments.

Sketch Challenges

I've been enjoying the look of banners lately, so when I saw this paper I knew it would be perfect for the holidays.

This sketch can be flipped or rotated, have fun with it.
The challenge - make a banner.

If you're like me than you probably have a ton of photo's of your family playing outside in the winter. So I made sure to include lots of photo's in this sketch, so you can get them scrapped.

Challenge: As you can see I used many different techniques on this LO. I did some needle piercing, glimmer misting, inking, overlay misting, I used rub-ons and I glued sparkles to the snowflakes and distressed the main photo. Your challenge will be to incorporate at least three of the above mentioned techniques into one LO.

We know many of you like to get started on the crop challenges early, so as a little teaser we've included the following sketch challenges to help you warm up to some fun scrapping this weekend.
  
For this challenge, use any kind of cut-out paper on your card or use the sketch by incorporating a stamped background, if you don't have any cut out paper.

Pretty soon we'll all be making a card or two for the holidays coming up, so we thought we'd give you a head start. Here is one sketch that can be used in many ways.

My example using product from the Oct. Elite Kit.
The Challenge - Your card must have two layers and some bling. Any holiday card you wish to make is fine. This is just an example.

Halloween Layouts

Here's what I've done so far, I will be adding alot more on Sat. You just can't believe the value, asst. and paper in these kits, they are incredible Halloween Kits - THE BEST I'VE EVER SEEN!! A couple of these LO's were made with home decor in mind. They will be framed and hung for the occasion.
