Paper Frame

Paper Frame Tutorial

Winter isn't even here yet and I'm already dreaming about the spring blossoms LOL. But this wasn't as much about the actual content of this project, but more about how to make the frame part of this project. So lets get started.
First what you want to do is choose a heavier weight paper, double sided with a fun pattern.
Next you can go to the link below and print out the score and cut lines, this will come in really handy.

1.       Score all four sides of 12X12 paper at  ¼”, ½”, ¾”,1” from the edge of the paper.
2.       Score an addition ¼” on top and bottom edge of paper. Yellow lines. (pdf)

3.       Cut ONLY the Black lines. (pdf) Your paper should look like this.
4.       Fold your score lines.

5.       The notched angle in the corners will become your mitered corner. A very important step.
6.       Do a dry fit.
7.       Glue or use double sided sticky tape on all four outside EDGES of your frame. I did glue the mitered corners for some extra strength.
8.       Decorate.
Now its your turn to create this quick project. It would make a great gift or wall plaque.  But don't stop there, this would also make a fun little tray (reinforce with cardboard on the back that's been covered with paper for some stability.)
And now that you know how to make one, don't be afraid to apply the same principles to a smaller frame.
Have fun and I will see you really soon. And remember if you ever need help with any of the projects I share here, just connect with me thru email and I will try to help.
